Privacy Policy
Kedil is a personal budgeting app for salaried Indians. It stores your financial data — including imported bank statement PDFs — on Azure infrastructure with bank-grade encryption. Kedil does not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or access your bank account directly.
What data we collect
When you sign up, we collect your name and email address. When you use the app, we collect the financial data you choose to share — transaction data extracted from PDF bank statements you upload, and EMI or loan details you enter manually. We also collect basic usage data (which features you use, how often) to improve the product. This is anonymous — it is not linked to your name or account.
We do not collect your bank login credentials. We never ask for them.
How we use your data
We use your data to show you your spending breakdown, budget summaries, and EMI dashboard. That is it.
We do not use your financial data for advertising. We do not build profiles for third parties. We do not sell your data — ever. Your bank statement is yours. We read it to show you useful numbers. Nothing else.
How we store and protect it
Your data is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Azure operates under SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications — the same infrastructure standards used by banks and regulated financial services. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
When you upload a PDF bank statement, we extract the transaction data from it. The raw PDF is not stored permanently on our servers after processing.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access— ask us what personal data we hold about you
- Correction— ask us to update any data that is wrong
- Deletion— ask us to delete your account and all data associated with it

Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you logged in. No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. No data shared with ad networks.
Third-party services
Sanity CMS powers the Kedil blog — no personal or financial data from your account is shared with Sanity.
We use basic analytics to understand which pages and features are used. No personal identifiers are collected or shared.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify you by email.
